Hi! My name is Kendal Williams!

I graduated summa cum laude from Virginia Tech in December 2024 with a Bachelor of Communication in Sports Media & Analytics and a minor in Organizational Leadership.

I began my first two years at Virginia Tech as a Division I athlete on the women’s lacrosse team, but ultimately decided to hang up my cleats and invest my time and energy into my lifelong dream of working in the sports world. After all, it had always been such a big part of my life! Since then, I've been able to find my passions in broadcasting, social media, and athlete relations.

On the broadcast side, I have had the privilege to interview well-known figures such as former NFL quarterback Michael Vick and Virginia Tech head football coach Brent Pry. I have also gained valuable experience as a sideline reporter and analyst for the in-house ACC Network station in Blacksburg, Virginia.

On the social media side, I have had the opportunity to manage all of the social media handles for Triumph NIL, the official sports marketing agency and name, image & likeness (NIL) collective of Virginia Tech Athletics. Through my experience, I collaborated directly with Virginia Tech Football’s social media & creative teams and reached over 3.3 million people in my short time of managing the company’s platforms.

On the athlete relations side, I’ve worked directly with The Hokie Way, the nonprofit organization of active engagements for Virginia Tech Athletics, to schedule athletes to attend community service events in the southwest Virginia area. I’ve also hosted alumni engagement events for Virginia Tech Football alumni and assisted in recruiting visits on football game days for football and men’s & women’s basketball prospects.

I am very excited to continue my search for post-grad opportunities!
